How do you deal with telemarketers?
Pretty much the same way i deal with everything via phone...if i don't know the number, i let it go to voicemail. Then i delete it!
I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

I got an email about your comment to me about the ChaCha but when I clicked your name, it took me to a bad link. Anyway, go to chacha.com and on the bottom left corner of the screen it has a button that says "become a guide" you fill out a brief little thing with your name, address, email address, and why you want to become a guide and you should get an email in a day or two with all the info you need to train. Like I said, it's just a little extra cash. For rookie guides they pay 10 cents per question answered (it shouldn't take more than a minute or two to answer) I think after the first month or so they up it to 15 cents a question and if you answer more than a certain number of questions per week, they pay 20 cents per question. You can set your own hours; just hop on whenever you like. You can do it for 12 hours straight or for 30 minutes.
RYC:I myself am from Georgia, and even
though we started dating in (Jan) 2006, we still got a lot of those
reactions and my father basically disowned me, too.
It's so sad to see how little has changed over 30+ years. But we get a fair number of positive or neutral reactions, too, which I guess is a positive sign. (I personally only like it when people do not notice at all. When they make encouraging comments, it just reminds me that they still notice).
@la_faerie_joyeuse - I "get that", but even now, in MY position, i notice and smile because it's it's still relatively uncharted territory. Just makes me feel good when i see it, to know that we're not the only ones who feel that love goes beyond skintone. :) I sort of feel validated, i guess.
